Product Information

This new series is Sreepadma Tissue Culture plants hardened and grown emersed to full size under controlled conditions in our farm.

Common Name: Anubias Barteri Round or Coin Leaf

Anubias Barteri Round AKA Anubias Coin is a less common type of Anubias thats fast becoming popular in the hobby. This is an extremely easy plant to grow and can survive a wide range of water parameters. It has long stems like Anubias Barteri but the leaves are more round and circular. This plant is suitable as a midground and background of your aquascape. Like other Anubias plants it can grow in both aquariums and terrariums either submerged or emersed.

The plant can be attached directly onto driftwood, rocks or any aquarium decoration using thread or glue. It can also be wedged into cracks available within the hardscape layout. Another added benefit of this plant is that herbivorous fish such as goldfish species rarely munch on it! Make sure to keep the rhizomes above your substrate or the plant can begin to rot. It’s a flowering plant that grows best when the rhizome is attached to hardscape material such as wood or stone. Regular fertilization is favorable and low to medium lighting is sufficient as high lighting will promote the growth of algae on its leaves. CO2 is not required but promotes faster growth and robust leaves.  Propagation is easy and straightforward; simply cut or pull apart rhizomes to be replanted.

Especially for cichlid lovers an attractive enrichment for the planting of the cichlid worlds in the living space.

 Notes:

  • Anubias are strong plants that can thrive in a variety of environments.
  • These epiphytes can be planted above the substrate or attached to hardscape.
  • Burying the rhizome, will cause the plant to melt and die.
  • Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.
  • CO2 injection and quality aquarium soil will yield better growth.
